The Janes ran in the Santa Monica Classic 5k this past Sunday. Barbara Parker was the first woman running 16:40, Tania Fischer was fourth in 17:41, Adrienne Schumm was eighth in 18:13, Jenna Dee was ninth in 18:22, Kelle Taylor ran 19:08, Tiffany Turner at 19:48, Cambria Wu at 19:49, Amanda Rondash at 20:19 and Emily Mitchell at 22:03. (I think the official times were off by around 10 seconds since I saw some of the girls come in 10 seconds faster than what the reported times were.)
We have to wait and see how the points are dispersed for this event to see if Tania will hang on with the top spot after four events.

Cambria Wu after her win in the 10k last year
The Janes will be in full force this Sunday running the 5k at the Santa Monica Classic that happens to be the USATF Southern California road running Grand Prix. The Janes head into the weekend race with more points in the team rankings per scoring runner but in third place in the total team scoring since the first and second place teams have more runner competing in the series than the Janes. Individually, Tania Fischer looks to open the gap as the number one runner in the series with 1758 points this weekend when she goes head to head against the number two ranked runner, Nathalie Higley.
