A Race to the top of the Empire State Building

Can you spot the Jane in this mad dash to the top?

Erika Aklufi did a crazy thing last Wednesday. She flew to New York City to climb some stairs – a lot of stairs. 78 flights of stairs to be exact! This race was the Empire State Building Run-Up Powered by the MMRF that is going strong on its 35th year. There was a record 666 entrants this year – a devil of a number when you think about how tough this race is. Erika ran the 78 floors in a time of 13:22 – better than last year but 7 seconds away from 3rd place and the podium.
