The race this year was part of the Southern California USATF Grand Prix Road Racing Series and it also served as the USATF Masters 8k Championship. The Masters race, which was run before the open race, was filled with elite masters runners from across the nation. This year drew more masters than last year and it raised the competition level.

In the masters race, Tania finished second on gun time, but was officially third since the masters race was based on chip time and Tania started ahead of the second place woman. Ingrid, Kirsten and Darcy finished behind her respectively. Their placing was good enough for a first place team win in the 40 division!

In the open division, new Jane D’Ann was second overall followed by Erika, Julia, Maritza, Kryssie, Rachel, Kimmy and new Jane Demanjot.
