PERSONAL: Sissel is originally from Norway. She moved to Santa Monica in 2007 after living in Marin County for many years. Sissel recently became a stay at home mom after working for many years as a project manager designing freeways and light rail systems. She now spends her days either at the playground or taking her two young daughters, Molly and Tess, to different sports activities. Although Sissel loves her running, she is also passionate about most sports and outdoor activities in general. Her favorite food is sushi and dry cold saki. She also loves reading norwegian literature; however, her most memorable book is Hillary Rodham Clinton's "Living History". "I'm never going to run this again." -Grete Waitz, on winning her first of nine New York Marathon victories. |
