Chloe Curtis, a Redondo Union High School senior and a Baby Jane, won the ultra-competitive 1600 meters this past Saturday up at Buchanan High School in Fresno. Chloe had to battle Alli Billmeyer, the Torrey Pines junior who came in with the fastest 1600 in the state. As predicted, it came down to Chloe and Alli battling it out over the last 600 meters with Chloe prevailing down the stretch running a PR of 4:46.63 to Billmeyer’s 2nd place effort of 4:47.79 on a hot and windy evening.
Chloe will be running for the prestigious Washington Husky team next year.
