Studette Barbara Parker came in 4th place at the Reebok Boston Indoor Games against a stellar field PR’ing in her debut 3000 of the
year running 8:52.90. Barbara led through the first 2k before Kalkidan Gezahegn and Genzebe Dibaba and then eventually Shannon Rowbury passed her in the final 1k. Sara Hall passed Barbara but Barbara prevailed and passed Sara back to finish in her final spot of fourth place. Gezahegn from Ethiopia was the eventual winner running 8:46.1.
