Christine Gentile competed on the USA World Masters Track & Field Championship Team in Perth, Australia early November. She landed a podium finish for the bronze in the 800 meters and was selected to the U.S. 4 x 400 m relay team that earned the silver medal. Over 4200 masters athletes competed in Perth and 92 countries were represented. the USA only had 243 athletes competing yet was second in the medal count with 181 total medals – second to Australia with 1400 athletes and 535 total medals.
