Podium finishes for several Janes this weekend! Ingrid took home top honors from the LA Marathon, earning 1st in her age division, and being the 3rd overall open finisher in a personal-best time of 2:55.28! Her training and recent races have showcased her strength, and she was able to put it all together on race day, averaging 6:45 minute miles over the course.
At the Newport Beach Spirit Run, Mireya and Gwendolyn placed 2nd and 3rd, running 39:04 and 39:31, while Tania and Judy took 3rd and 4th in the open mile, running 5:27 and 5:34!
Daman also raced in the 5k at the Spirit Run, rounding out our 5 scoring members to earn points in the Grand Prix Series. In Redondo Beach, Julia used the St. Patty’s Day 5k course as a speedy workout, running 17:36, and leading a 1-2-3- finish for the team, with Cambria and Kirsten taking 2nd and 3rd. We also had action on the track this weekend; at the University of Redlands Invitational, Grace took on the collegiate competitors and placed 2nd in the 3000m, running 10:42.
Next weekend is the always exciting Carlsbad 5000m, where our championship Master’s team will take on a tough field of Masters runners from all over the country!
