June 28, Eugene, OR ~ Chloe Curtis (Jr, Redondo Union) and Jaye Buchbinder (So, Chadwick Prep), our honorary Janes, and what we like to call our Baby Janes, competed this past weekend alongside the seniors at the USATF Junior Championships at historic Hayward Field at the University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon. Chloe PR’d in the 800 in the qualifying race running 2:10.09 which qualified her to the finals where she placed 7th in a time of 2:14.25. Jaye was one of the youngest competitors in her 1500 qualifying race running 4:42.64. Unfortunately, she did not qualify for the final with that mark but Jaye had a terrific season PR’ing in the 1600 by over 22 seconds from the previous season.
