Christine Gentile won the Masters Indoor 800m title at USATF Masters Indoor Championships in Albuquerque, NM on March 6, 2016. Just 3 hours later after running the 800 meter race at 5,500 feet altitude, Christine recovered to slit a 61 on the World Record setting 4×400 meter relay team marking a time of 4:03.72 to shatter the standing record of 4:09.13.
On March 12 Christine and tania competed in the Masters Invitational Mile at USA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Portland, OR. Christine secured a podium with the bronze in 5:25.68, a mark that landed her a #1 World Ranking for W45-49 and Tania placed fifth in 5:30.23. It was a great showing for the JANES!!
